Why are none of us good enough?
Once Jesus said: “Search the Scriptures, because you think that in them you have eternal life, they testify about Me!” (John 5:39) Jesus is the main character of the entire Bible. The Bible is a unique and wonderful book: it consists of 66 separate books written by 40 different authors, written over a period of nearly 1,600 years, while it does not contradict itself anywhere, it contains one plot line that develops, reaches a climax, and contains a resolution. The entire Bible describes the history of Almighty God’s relationship with His creation:
1. Perfect God
He created man not because he was in need, but in order to share his joy and happiness. God created man for His purposes, for His plan. So that a person reflects God’s character and spreads His Glory and experiences His happiness in this. A person can experience the greatest pleasure and joy only from the contemplation of God’s Glory. It was in this state of mind that a person was in the presence of God in the Garden of Eden!
2 Man is incapable
Man decided to live for himself and thereby declared rebellion against the Heavenly Father. Our sin created a gulf between man and the Source of life. We have lost peace with God: peace, contentment, happiness. We are trying to save ourselves from the reproaches of conscience and the future fair trial… But by no means of our own efforts, a person cannot restore a relationship of peace with God. No good deeds, no religious rites, no achievements, no right thinking – nothing can satisfy the demands of God’s justice! No one is or can become good enough on their own!
3 Jesus is our only hope
God Himself came to earth in the person of man to redeem, to pay our Debt before God’s righteous judgment in our place.

Rev. 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying: You are worthy to take this book and open its seals, because You were pierced, and with Your blood You redeemed people to God from every tribe, and language, and nation, and people .
4. Life dedicated to God
A person who accepts by faith that God has paid for his sins returns to his father, with faith that He will accept and forgive the sin of rebellion and the desire to live for himself. She trusts herself in God’s hands, so that now He leads and directs her life! Faith opens the eyes of the human soul: that Jesus is the greatest value in life. God’s plan and purpose for us is the content of our life!
2Cor.5:15 And He died for all, so that those who live no longer live for themselves, but for Him who died and rose again for them.
What does it mean to truly be a believer?
To be a Christian is not enough simply to believe that Jesus really lived. We all believe that Adolf Hitler lived, but that does not make us fascists. We are NOT his followers. To be a Christian, you need to believe that Jesus lived, died for me and in my place, rose again and is alive now, and I follow Him. I am His follower. I want to live like Him, in fact, so that He lives through me!
